Just out of curiosity and please excuse my ignorance but with the three riding modes do they all share the same fuel map with the exception of each mode having different levels of traction control and is the power dulled down in rain mode by ignition timing or has each mode got its own separate fuel map ?

Same fuel maps, different throttle valve tables - rain mode is least sensitive and most restricted. Don’t know about traction control on triumphs but I guess it is relaxed in sport mode.
