Minus 20 here in CA!!!!!

My sons tried this strategy with me for years. It didn't work.

In the past few months, even though what I've gained back has got to be mostly muscle vs fat - I still liked the 205-210 weight range because I slow down on the bicycle at any weight past that. so I am 2 weeks into another cycle of not drinking any alcohol at all (going 2 months this time) - That always does the trick. In your mind, you just have to "flip the switch"

You are spot on. I had decide to flip that switch.

Agree - it's not just the alcohol itself - but that always just made we want to snack
Whether that be chips or more likely with wine, cheese & salami!

So eliminating the vino actually removes the catalyst for the snacking!

On my FB page incidentally, a good friend said that wine is just fruit and fruit is good for you!

What happens with alcohol is, (without going into a lot of detail) it takes the sugars that the unburned carbs turn into, in your body & converts them to fat faster. So those sugars don't get to be used as energy, but instead stored fat.  :( :(

And YES, I also suffer the inhibitions to over eating brought on by such "relaxing" beverages :inlove
