Maxton Ride-Along

walt--they better get a big clam shell track hoe or something in there and remove "piles" too!!
when do you go for big 200 license ??
looks like you nailed the 175 run!!
did the other riders give you a "big hhhhmmmmm???" ,when you got back to paddock???
bike looked real nice / professional the way you prepared it too!!
keep rolling out the good runs!!

The rookies on Busas gave me thumbs up for both 148+ and 175 runs. Seems that their Busa speedos read 10 MPH high, and they all had to do repeat license passes.

Working on an LSR type front fender right now. Tire rub and cracked CF front fender at 175. Don't want this anymore:

I'm bummed! :( Went to see the video and it's "No longer available". If it pops up somewhere else, let us know.

PM me your email address and I'll send you invitation to R3Power network... videos are posted there.

walt--maybe a "knife edge" front fender with less blunt "leading edge" on CF one that failed????
i've been trying to find a purely "cosmetic" full 180 degree metal fender blank to cut one out of and that 17 " wheel size doesn't work well w/ either 13 3/8 " OR 15 3/4 " radius blanks.
can imagine one for speed is almost impossible to find????---or custom!!
good luck!

This one's from Airtech:

And this one's from Tiger Racing:

Both need to be modified (split and widened) to fit R3. For my class (partial streamlining), no part of the fender may extend below a horizontal line through the front axle, but you can see that having the fender tip down to that point will prevent "lift" of front fender tip.

Will you be doing the next round at maxton in just over a months time

Whats the next aim

Not sure if I'll have the fender ready for May 16th meet or not. We usually spend May in Spain and old guy like me can't afford to lose Jolanta. Next goal is to push her up into the 185 MPH range. Will probably need Carpenter head and forged pistons for 200.

Here she is dropped 10mm in forks. I'll wait to see how the new LSR fender affects lift before I consider more. Have way more high speed damping available in Scotts damper... just no where to test it!
