Low speed handling?

I have a new Rocket III Touring and I have a problem with wobble during deceleration. There is only 4,000 miles on it now. I discovered it by experimenting and letting pressure off the handlebars. What is the best solution to this problem?

There are others that have had this problem and found that tightening adjuster nut on the forks fixed it. There is thread talking about it but I cant remember where I saw it. Hope the link works. The link doesnt show the adjuster nut like wanted but it shows the exploded view of it on there you just have to find it.

Since its new and only has 4000 miles I'd take it back to the dealer. Should be a warranty issue.

Being a new bike the tyre is fitted at factory so responibility still comes under warranty but they could argue "the owner not running correct tire pressure" so make sure the pressure is as per owners manual before you take it in. incidently have you been watching your tyre pressure since buying the bike, uneven tyre wear caused by underinflated tyres can cause decelaration h/bar wobble/ tankslaping, as mentioned before it is more than likely that in the first service when the dealer should have checked the steering head bearing tightness along with other adjustment areas (this may have been missed). The first service is all about makeing sure everything is beding in and be tightnened down to be safe and have correct tolerances my Steering head bearings were overlooked and later replaced by my dealer at his cost due to the young mechanic admitting he may have missed it (in his defence he a 3rd year aprentice had been working by himself at the time as the the senior mechanic had left unexpectedly and I am happy to say the young aprentice is a very competant mechanic and will listen to concerns when raised and act promptly)

The tire dealership said they would send it back to the factory but figured since it was a car tire on a motorcycle that the factory would say wrong application one way to sidestep a faulty product Falken ZE 502- 245/45/16
