Last weekend I bottomed out the Rocket on a speed bump which did some damage to bottom of the engine, not long after that the bike stated to act weird. It stalled once at a light and I had to keep the revs up while take off. I really didn’t notice any power loss though.
Today while I was trying to drive the bike over the lift it just would not idle, so I kept the RPM a little high but then when I let the rpm settle the bike died, I tried to fire it up again and I heard a little bang with white/blue smoke coming out of the filters, the bike wasn’t running then but it was while the starter trying to start bike.
I’m planning on draining the oil and pulling the lower cover off to see if anything is wrong, not that I will know if anything looks out of place.

Wow! Something must of jarred loose or got whacked out og alignment. Do you have a service manual? That would at least let you know how things are supposed to look when you popped the lower casing. Hopefully somebody whos had it apart will chime in. Good luck!

There's a crank angle sensor under there, and I'd bet it doesn't like being jarred too forcefully. Letting the ecu know where the crank is, is input on firing.

That was one messy job, I removed the crank sensor to take a looksy and oil started to gush out when I removed the sensor
Anyways, I tracked the problem to the throttle sensor. When I messing with it the bike started to idle normal (800 RPM), I'm going to replace it and see if that fixes the problem.
On a side note, my bike would idle high every once in a while so maybe it was an indication that something is wrong with the sensor.
I wanted to plug the tuneboy and see if anything is out of the ordinary but it's not working and I have yet to hear from tuneboy.

If you had previous idle problems than that makes sense. Glad to hear nothing major on the lower end. Sorry to hear tuneboy is giving you problems. Good luck!
