Those Goldwing guys are a different breed...you best not poke them with a stick...;)

I've a fireman buddy rides the heck outta his yeller Wing. He greases many more powerfull, smaller, motors in the twisties!
Remember, straightaway are for fast motors - twisties are for fast riders! :D

One of my faves - The Silvretta in Austria

Went up on the Guzzi in 3rd and sometimes 4th. Not much stayed with me for long. But the locals do a round run and there is no way I'd try to keep up with them. I'll bet these days it is pure KTM territory.

A friend of mine rides a Goldwing and it goes along pretty nicely too but dont fancy all that stuff on them myself....i wonder if Honda built a Goldwing in bare bones...called it different name and aimed it to sell as a cruiser but a bare one...how would that appeal?
I know they have the Valkyrie but.....?

They do, the F6B

If it’s who I’m thinking of, I will second that’s hes quite quick! Any rocket pilot better be at the very top of their cornering game to pace him, also doubtful a stock bike even can.

What a fun day when he looked at me and said “Were going to have to ride like hell to catch up”. I smiled and chuckled, off we went and ran the pack down lol.

I've ridden with him, I'm no match for him on my K1200 even, lol.

@Claviger Rob,
Me reckons you speak of my bro-in-law, Sam on his silver Wing. Sam is a very good rider - a Triumph sponsored flat tracker in his yute.
You have yet to meet Gib. He is the Seattle fireman with the yellow Wing, I and @Tripps referred to.
Both these Wingers are excellent riders!

Sam's bike is such a sleeper... until you start actually paying attention instead of dismissing it as "just another wing" out of hand.

Galfer rotors, HH pads, aftermarket pipes, suspension work...

For those who have yet to really see a wing do work, I was chillin matching his pace, looked up after a long sweeping right, and realized he'd gapped me on the Daytona while we were playing. Then I realized, I actually have to put some effort into this lol. What a great 20 minutes or so of hooning that was. Sure I was able to reel him in at will, but, then a liter bike should be able to do that to nearly anything. The most impressive part...he did it without even shifting his ass around, stayed dead center on the bike lol.

The more I ride with different people on different bikes, the more I realize when people say "The bike has higher limits than most riders do" is absolutely true, and it's true for most bikes even.

Silly me. I thought you have very strict speed restrictions out there. And angry police officers , state troopers etc. 130miles per hour?? That's just insane. Too fast even for my zx10r ninja
