Looking for a new exhaust system, please help!

Would this work with your hearders and mufflers?

Would this work with your headers and mufflers?

Yes Doug, I have set everything up "Lego" style, so its mix and match.
Specifically this is to suit the Stock Roadster Mufflers, or the TORs.
The current cross over system that I am working on will accept two normal (not Stock Roadster) type of conical inlet muffler.
Note, the specs on the pipe are rain !

How about heat from your headers, say compared to stock!

I can answer this, its about the same. I did wrap the pipes with fiberglass wrap and this made an enormous difference. Attached is a pic of the pipes and my hairy leg so you can see the clearance is good. You don't notice it when your riding though only when crawling in hot weather. As that's only a few months of the year here (hot weather) its not a problem and I try to avoid cities where I can as I'm working on becoming a hermit.

Pipe **** !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WELL youll notice all the stock exhaust systems have heat shields so look at the large selection of aftermarket stuff and youll find some that will work

Paul every time I see those mufflers I just melt. Tell me all about them please.

One of the first mods that I made to the bike was to drop the CAT out and put some noisy (not so noisy) mufflers on.

This particular pair of mufflers started life as Taiwanese "Dunstall" units.

I bought these in then proceeded to completely gut the things of all the convoluted baffle system inside.
I then inserted a 2" perforated tube as a baffle. They sound lovely
Basically all that is left of the made by J.A.Pan & Co. Dunstall unit is the main and the reverse cone.
A heck of a lot of work you may say, but at the time I didn't have the gear to make the cones, I do have now.

As you can see I made a heat shield/cover to match the mufflers to the header.

I'm in the process of developing a (production) cross over pipe to take this style, or the Rinehart style muffler so as to have a twin system that will slide straight onto the stock header as shown above, or onto my header.
This of coarse will be complete with mounting brackets etc.
