I had a guy tell me the other day he wont ride Lions Road because it is a private road and insurance won't cover him.
Has anyone else heard of this?

News to me Cars are insured on that road. So I don't see it being a problem, but I could be wrong.

It's not a private road. It was always a road to the last house on the QLD side the Beaudesert lions club just straightened it out a bit and put some pipes in. The Nsw side was upgraded the last 3or 4 klm from a logging road to what it is now by the Kyogle lions club to make it a shorter trip from Kyogle to Beaudesert. I do beleive It is now maintained by the local shires. Mt Lindsay is a much better road and only takes 15 minutes longer.

Just called in insurance company...
They said that "As long as it is an open road (Private or not) and that the public are not restricted from using it you are covered"
I am insured with Insure My Ride.
