i have smocked a z06 and everything i have run against . the thing is guys there is always going to be faster no matter what you have.
 
I don't know what you pessimists are riding, but the Porsche's, Caddy's and Vett's turn 1/4 mile times in the 12's. I don't seem to have any difficulty keeping any of these factory cagers in the mirror, Skip I thought yours was faster than that. And as far as running ANYTHING top end ... when the speedo runs out of numbers, I slow down. The R3 would require more gear or unlimited RPM to compete with almost anything top end, I don't play dat. I know the quarter mile is up when the speedo hits 130, at that point race is over ... I win ... no whining.
If in doubt, your right, race is over at 100 (1/8th mile). If you are winning at 100+ and call the race... that's perfectly fair. Hanging in and getting beat around 140 is your own **** fault.

I'm planning on dropping mine off at Wayne Tripps on the way back from the RAA for a turbo retrofit Wayne isn't sure what it is going to produce with the Nev cams already installed. I'm stoked!!!
 
I nailed a porsche 911 on the autobahn from 100mph till 150mph recently surely he would have caught up at top speed but on the acceleration no contest got him good. another first for R3 classic
