Just picked up a new '08 RIII Classic today, blue and silver with gold pin stripe. I had bags, windscreen, dresser bars, his and her gel seats with a short sissy bar installed. It was raining lightly today, so I didn't want to "learn" a new bike with the roads being slick and this being suck a Kick A$$ bike! So I brought it home, parked it in the garage, and wiped all the rain from it.

My last bike was a '80 Yamaha 400 Special, 27 years ago, so I'm being VERY carefull. I look forward to putting some miles on it this summer!

Congrats on the new bike! I also brought mine home from the dealership in the rain two and a half years ago, and my biggest concern was that it was getting dirty.

Bought it in Hattiesburg Mississippi, rode it home, and it rained all the way. 600 fun filled miles.

The Rocket will handle the rain far better than you can imagine. Put on you Helley Hansons or Frog Toggs or whatever and get the fat bottom girl wet! She'll lavish in the sheets

Welcome!!!!! Youll have to plan that 1 day it doesnt rain over there in washington before you ride!!! Have to do a 24hr thing before the rain returns! Hope the weather stays dry. I am breaking in an 08 R3 touring and it is killing me that the weather is not cooperating. But paitiencs will ensue!!!
