Keeping Your R3 Shiny

i found after many years in the of black cars & motorcycles to get the black looking new again is called finaldetail liquid polish gets out minor scraches and swirels and makes the black look fresh !!

I use WD40 on my wheels. That's the best I've found at removing brake dust and chain lube (chain on my Tiger). I use Honda Spray Cleaner/Polish on the chrome and paint. I use leather wipes on the seat and I got some stuff (don't recall the name) from the Harley shop that's specifically for the windshield.

So everyone knows one way or another to keep the shiny parts shiny, but what is everyone's take on keeping my matte black Roadster clean and very much not shiny?

Lemon Pledge was suggested earlier. Lots agree that it works wonders .... I just haven't bought my can yet. You can be sure I'll post my take on the stuff once I use it.

I wouldn't have thought of pledge. But I'm sure more people will try it out before I get the chance to. I'm not going to be able to ride it for another couple months. A couple king sized high thread count sheets are currently covering it. The woman didn't like that I used a set of expensive sheets to cover the bike, but it's still cheaper to use what you have than buy something new. I'll keep an eye out for people using the pledge idea. Please post back with any success or failures.

WD-40 and 409 on the greasy bits.
409 or P100 on the engine.
Zaino Brothers polish on the paint and chrome.
210 plastic cleaner/wax on plastics and acrylics - including helmet face shields.

I use harley gloss it comes in an easy to use trigger spray and it does chrome and paint and not a bad smell either . Wife says i have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder because i ride the bike then clean it :eek:...what can you do

YEP LEMON PLEDGE spray on the whole bike even your face shield and helmet CLEANS AND SHINES :)

Me too, with the Pledge !:D Stays shiny for a long time. Smokes a little around the exhaust manifold when fresh. Dont know what to tell you about matte finish. If its too shiny guess you can wash it off. Perfect for the engine though !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
