Hi, sorry if this has been covered on here previously.....

Is it worth swapping out the standard ait filter on an 09 classic for the K&N Air filter or is it a waste of time?

Your thoughts, knowledge and experience are appreciated

The only advantage to the K&N is you can clean it. Other then that nope. Ramair ain't to bad.
 
None. Had one but did not notice any improvement in performance. Ramair different story.
 
In order to get an increase you need to remove the stock under the seat and replace with either Ramair or K&N right on the plenums. You won't see much tho unless you do an exhaust and tune also. Be prepared to spend a few bucks but you will get maybe 20-30 extra ponies.

If you refer to the K&N that fits in the standard filter box under the seat : Save your money.
As has been mentioned - the restriction in airflow is NOT the filter.
