Lupe, I give you credit for posting about anything other than a Rocket as you know you were going to get your balls busted. But for anyone that isn't busted balls and takes your self too seriously; Clearly wisdom, inclusion, being diverse, open mindedness, acceptance of others and their personal beliefs or opinions on style or function does not come with age. If getting older makes me as prejudice as some of the old and wise and so technically advanced geezers on this forum I hope I kick the bucket sooner than later. I was always taught to respect my elders, but respect is earned not given from me anymore and at my age.
I used to ride with a group of HOG riders and I will tell you that no other bike in the world was good enough for those narrow minded jacka$$es. I too had a H-D and started to pick up that childish mental philosophy. I lost respect for the HOG dicks and I started to see that disrespectful behavior in me so I quit hanging out with them. Growing up I have ridden and owned several styles and makes of motorcycles. I found strengths and weakness in every bike I rode & owned. Owning an R3R has certainly been great as far as having one of my favorite bikes I have ever owned, but I also have a few others that I really enjoy equally but for different reasons.
I believe we have guys on this forum with multiple bikes and for multiple reasons. I started riding in 1970 ( I was 4) and never stopped. I did a couple years in motocross as a teenager and then drag racing in my twenties. I like some of you old timers have seen great and not so great bikes. I have also worked as an Auto & Bike Mechanic in the 80s until moving into the marine business. Not owning a bike dealership does not disqualify me or anyone else from having likes and dislikes and solid opinions on any other bike than the mighty Rocket and I believe everyone should respect that.
Sorry for the rant and I may be seeing too much into this thread. But like Lupe I too am always looking for another fun bike to ride around on. And that is what keeps motorcycling fresh to me. And I wouldnt take sh!t from anyone for that.
