Thanks mate ... nice T150 hey ... the owner wasn't interested in trading you for your Goldwing was he ... did you even ask him ?? If you don't ask you are going to be stuck with that f#ckin thing forever ... it never hurts to ask mate :D
 
I remember being 16 years old, and looking through the showroom window at a new BSA Rocket 3.

It was around three years wages, had my first bike a Francis Barnet Cruiser 84, cost me fiver, was on three quid a week, my first job.

The rocket 3 was next to an open topped car with two propellers at the back.

Around 1969.

Yes they were very expensive when they first came out. I rode a demo model in 69, although no thoughts to buy - far too much money for me then. I was friendly with the local dealer and he let me use it to fetch some spares for my AJS Stormer.

Three years ago I bought a badly neglected version and am just in the final stages of restoration. So hopefully will be riding one again - 43 years later.

Haven't they got 3 sets of points a set for each cylinder I kinda remember they were a ***** to set up..but running properly they ran pretty good

It took time but was a simple process - but a switch to a Boyer electronic ignition solved that problem.

Tuning the center carb is the real *****.
