Just CAT bypass

I bought a used Triumph CAT bypass (peformance exhaust option) on eBay.

Just installed it on my '06 Classic. I still have standard silencers et al.

I LOVE the sound, really a big difference.

I'll do a 12 minute tune today.

I have a Tune-Boy.

Which tune would be best? I'm running one now that just keeps the secondaries open all the time.

Someday I'll get Maddogs or something like that, no bucks now.

Try the R3 standard tune ( no cat) go to 2ndries table & open them all to 100%.
R3 classic tune is speed restricted to lower than standard R3, so this way you can get max acceleration & more top speed. :twisted:

take the tuneboy and set speed limiter to 500 knots it won't be in your way. you can increase the rev limiter also but with the stock set up I would not go above 6600 rpms.

Download this one... Works with standard exhaust or TORs... Ran it for a year with cat bypass and standard exhaust.. Ran great!!!

That's a very good tune, CC posted. I use that, tweaked a bit leaner to suit my bike.( Ran rich & sluggish at first, now runs almost perfect after playing with the trims table) Didn't know you could run that with standard pipes tho

Is it important what order the tune is loaded? before/after the 12 minute tune?

Also, a 12 minute tune is just start-up, do not touch the throttle, and let run for 12 minutes and turn off, right ?

Load the tune from my previous post with TuneBoy. Make sure the Download button is yellow - that ensures a good connection with the bike. After the download is complete, you will get a pop-up message and you will hear the fuel pump cycle itself. Turn the key off and then back on. Start the bike.. Let it idle WITHOUT revving the throttle. Once the radiator fan kicks on, time for 12 minutes. Again, no revving... Turn the bike off and start it again.. You are now ready to go...

Almost right......the 12 minutes doesn't start until the bike reaches normal operating temperature
