What part of Az are you going to visit? There is a twisty ride in the eastern part of the state that everyone should do at least once. But, in March it will be very cold at the top, with snow a real possiblilty.

Our road captain is just finalizing the routes now. Starting and ending in Vegas riding through Alpine, Globe, Prescott, Apache trail, Salt River lookout come to mind. We wont be riding our bikes but rather getting bikes from Eaglerider in Vegas.

If you be talking the Coronado Trail (191), it is most definitely a not to be missed ride (Alpine to Morenci) and tis 90 miles of boner twisties and scenery!
It also elevates to over 9,000 feet in the Hannagan Meadow area and was chilly when I rode it last November.
22° is the low today. Average high in March is about 50° with an average low of about 24°.
I'd go for it if no precipitation and of course do it in the afternoon.
A GREAT ride! Was SO good I did it twice.

Yep, that was the ride in question. I have done it more times than I am able to count and every time I have more fun that the last time, lol. The only suggestion I would add is to go from Morenci to Alpine, south to north. Otherwise you will be heavy on the brakes for the 90 miles. Plus going uphill you can really show off the torque of the Rocket for those poor folks on other bikes.
