Jardine Sealant Question

I'm wondering how many of you used the hi temp sealant Jardine recommends b/w the right side pipe and header and b/w the right and left side pipes. I found the connection b/w the right side pipe and header to be fairly loose so I was able to put the sealant there. However, the connection b/w the 2 pipes under the bike was quite snug and I found putting sealant prevented them from joining up as they should so, after struggling, removed the sealant and just clamped them together.

Now waiting 24 hours for the sealant I used to cure. We'll see how it goes I guess!

I did, what a f**ken' mess!

I think most got the sealant at the header to work. It always blew out on me.. so I ended up welding the header junction... The bottom joint was a tight fit... I did manage to get a thin film of sealant in the bottom joint though, and haven't had a problem in that area. Of course, I no longer have a problem at the header either.. lol

Total f**n mess is right. Sealant everywhere - all over the floor, clothes, hands, exhaust - chucked out my shirt in disgust. Have to carefully wipe exhaust clean now before starting. I'm hoping the clamp works b/w the 2 pipes. We'll see how it goes.
