Is This How a Tradesman Feels........

i was working on this guys ford i popped the hood the entire area was orange rad,fan,carb/firewall air cleaner there was not a spec of black any where. anyway i was pulling the trans i had the cross member out which put a lot of pressure on the pipes and he was at the back of the car. well he unwired the tail pipe and when it came down it landed on top of my head which put me on my knees. really pissed me off.

was checking a starter for a lady had the front in the air her teenage daughter in the truck had turn on the key to listen music so when i crossed the starter with me under truck the motor started. i was lucky it was in park

and i really like the ones that say u know the brakes r bad after u come back from a road test.

when my oldest son was working derricks for me he had a new worm convinced if you turn a crescent wrench over it becomes a metric wrench compared to a standard wrench

You ever work a rig overseas in the middle east?
One raghead to tighten & one raghead to loosen for each and every joint, nut, bolt, coupling, ect on the rig ;) :whitstling:

i dropped a smoke bomb down in a steam cleaner and when the new guy turned it it on i watched it for a while but nothing happened so i went back to work. i went back out for something and the boss was telling him that there is always smoke coming out of it and the guy was standing there shaking his head i started laughing and told them what i had done.

Back in the early 80's I was running a M/C shop servicing and repairing Brit Bikes.
I had a guy come in one day with a wiring problem, he told me that he had rewired the bike himself, well that was alarm bells for a start, but when I got into the bike every single wire was colour coded . . . . Black  :(

on the deep rigs everyone knows you will be there anywhere up to a couple months, making hammer unions a b*tch to loosen up at times, watched one guy hammer a union for a couple minutes the wrong way of course, told him dont hit it hard hit it a bunch of times 5 minutes later still beating on it never gave up tho turned out to be a dam good hand years later

Yea, some people actually learn from their mistakes even when done over and over............ God knows, I DID!!!!!!! :banghead:

Had a tire going flat. Took it in to Sears Auto to have it repaired. From the waiting room I could see the tire tech struggling to get the tire off. He had removed all the nuts and was beating the tire and rim with a rubber mallet trying to remove the rear tire. I ask the service manager what in the hell is going on with the tire problem. I saw him walk to my car and then I realized the guy had forgotten to put a jack under the car. Apologies were made and no charge for the repair.
