Is this a bad rear axle seal?

I have an appointment for my 500 mile service this Friday. While going over my new Rocket, I found seepage around the right rear wheel axle. Bad seal? What do you all think?



Geez, only 500 miles on it. Is this normal. I'm not wiping it off until the tech looks at it.

There isn't a "seal" at the ends of the axle. You're just getting some excess from the grease put on the axle when mounting the rear wheel. Nothing to be concerned about. You'll get the same on the front if too much grease is applied. You are not losing fluid from the shaft drive if that is your concern.
