Mine used to fail only on very hot sunny days, but the bike never broke down. Just the display fizzed out and eventually went black. Took about one minute of fizzing screen till black out.

My tech said the unit completely failed and I noticed that it did not do nothing. Yes double negative on purpose. Not a thing worked on the bike. Matando totalamente.

In my case it was more likely to have been due to a dry solder somewhere on the feed to the display screen, so everything was still working except for the display itself or perhaps it was just the display itself.
In your case it is likely that your power board failed and with it the whole system failed/couldn't function.
TFT units on modern bikes are great until they begin to fail.
Sorry to hear about your issue; thankfully on my old 2014 rocket III Roadster: no TFT tablet on the handlebars, no riding modes, no Killswitch, no gps tracking, no databroking i.e. spying mistreating me the owner.
