2020 rocket 3r
Does anyone have a lead on a cluster? Went for a ride to an appointment this morning. Everything was fine. Went to leave my appointment to go home and the screen out of nowhere went haywire. Then while riding home it went completely black. Signals and abs light and low fuel light still show up which is weird but the rest of the screen went black. Does anyone have one for sale that’s not an arm and a leg. Thanks in advance

That may not be your TFT screen going out but an electrical problem. Before you sink money into another cluster you should verify that it is indeed the cluster going nuts and not an electrical issue.

Not sure what else it could be. I did some poking around while the bike was running to see if the screen would turn back on. Wiggled wires, checked fuses, and nothing. The bike runs absolutely fine. Cruise control works, fuel light still comes on, turn signals show on the sides of the screen like normal. It’s just the rest of the display doesn’t show.

Well it could be the contacts in the back of the unit have some corrosion on them. If you need to order a new one the part number should be:

The list price of that unit is over $1800.00. You might be money ahead to take it to an electronics repair shop and see if they can sort out what widget, gizmo, thingamabob, went south on you and correct it for a wee bit less than a new unit. You can unplug the TFT from the harness and take in just the TFT screen (item #1).

Had this too - came from a badly inserted connector on the back side.

Do it like this:

- Motorcylce switched off
- Take off the plug
- Wait some seconds
- Plug it back in until you hear the "clicks"
- Start the bike

My problem happened after they changed the ABS unit - they had to take off the fuel tank and for this they had to unplug the dashboard...

Tyler,

use quality electrical degreaser and then electrical lubricant spray on connector first

then try same cluster on other rocket if you have someone near by or ask dealer to check on other rocket 2.5L model doesnt matter, it will turn on will limited functionality

then only it will be concluded that you need new one.
