Installing light relays?

I know most people installed the EB kit to route the power from the switch, But cant two relays be added instead. Can I add one relay to blue/red for low beam and one relay to blue/white for high beam located between light dip switch and headlights?

Thanks for your quick reply! There's another crazy question.....Cant just one relay be placed between the starter relay and the light dip switch or even before the starter relay? Then from there the power gets diverted for high or low beam.

Don't over complicate the wiring. The relays use dip switch power to gate battery power to the headlights. Keep it simple.

The EB kit is easy. You cut one of the OEM connections off leaving enough wire to connect to the EB kit. Run the H4 connectors into the buckets. If you want to retain the position lights splice wires to the yellow and black wires on the OEM connector to the position lights. Connect the EB battery cables to the battery. Plug the OEM connector back in and your handlebar switch remains fully functional. Only now the charging system and battery directly power your headlights. The position lights will still be powered off your ignition switch but they don't draw squat.

this kick started me to install the relays in my bike. incredible difference. i used different relay's

2 are about the same size as as one standard relay like what's listed in the other thread.

I dont know about easier but, doing it the piece work way is definitely cheaper. I spent about $25-$30 when i did the mod. Which ever way, it is a must mod, or you will be fixing your ignition switch and no tellin what else wiring related until you do it.

I purchased a relay yesterday for $7 and installed last night. I already had everything else and the job took about 15-20 mins. I just placed one relay to the blue wire between the starter relay and dip switch. Everything works great!
