Have you ever owned a V8 powered muscle car? My first was a 66 GTO, 389 Tri-Power. A brute of a car, the selling of which ranks up there with my greatest mistakes. I've owned a supercharged Mustang Cobra, a Corvette, and a couple of Vipers but that GTO was special. Circumstances permitting I'd buy a Hellcat in a heartbeat, but not at a premium to MSRP. All that does is guarantee you to double your depreciation hit. And yes, if they sell out they'll build more. Creating exclusivity by limiting production does not make the company more money, only the dealers.
