2014 Triumph Rocket 3 Roadster
Hello All,

My name is Steve and I was a member of this forum a few years back when i had my 2005 R3. I sold it a few years ago with 44k miles on it as it was giving me some problems.

Anyway, I just purchased a 2014 R3 Roadster and I have a question:

Do the controls for a R3 Classic fit on the Roadster? I see there is a aftermarket company making them, but, you have to lose the crash guard which I'm not willing to do at this point.

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers!

Another option if you can do it is to remove the crash bars, cut them and reweld them so they tuck into the radiator shroud notch. Cut properly and rewelded then rechromed you really can't tell the difference. I have a friend that moved his controls forward (on a R3T) and that is what he did. He moved them forward about 4" and you can't tell it wasn't factory. He added metal to the lower bar everything is mounted on, his were chrome, I traded my painted black ones for his chrome so he wouldn't have to rechrome them.
