I was wondering along these lines also (bike is at the dealer right now). I was just thinking about the crankcase breather. I'm not sure but I suppose it would make sense if it wasn't clear that the bike would keep popping seals and gaskets. Any opinions on the best way to check if it is clear?

Oil blowing out the breather could indicate excess crankcase pressure....that could indicate cylinder blowby, and that's bad bad thing. But I really think you have a range of bad gaskets and seals.

In case anybody was curious. The latest leak was from the tech putting the valve cover seal on incorrectly. It was pinched around the spark plug tubes and that's where the leak was coming down from.

That's a huge sigh of relief for you , I bet ? Glad it's all sorted out ! Don't think I would be trusting that garage any more ?

Bit of a PSA, on Facebook there a couple of R3R riders who have had their cam cover gaskets mysteriously develop a leak, all in exactly the same spot, and my bike did it too.

Between cylinder 1 and 2 on the exhaust side, all the bikes had the same development, looks like a little bit of gasket got pushed out and partially settled there leading to a slow weep. Put 2 and 2 together, I remember reading a post here about some one refitting the cam cover then checking the bolts after one heat cycle finding they were loose, but had been torqued properly.

Best guess, the bolts torque down, the first heat cycle the gasket conforms a bit to the head and cover, and the bolts are no longer tight.

Most likely cause....Triumph balling up the rubber gasket and shoving it in an envelope so it has all kinds of bends and twists that won't relax without heat applied.
