I just couldn't do it !

I did something yesterday I try never to do, I backed out of a deal!

I had just returned from Maggie Valley and had ridden "BLACKIE" to the fire house and cleaned her all up from the trip home the evening before.

I had "BLACKIE" sold, the deal was made, price agreed upon, and the purchaser called to tell me he was going to have the bike shipped from my location to his and needed my address. :(

The thought of someone that had no idea how much time and effort I had put into "BLACKIE" loading her up to send to a new owner made me step back and take a long look and I JUST COULDN'T DO IT!

I have no doubt that the new owner would have loved her as much as me since he was also the one that had purchased "Blackie II". Unfortunately a cage turned left in front of him and "BLACKIE II" is no more.

Still I JUST COULDN'T DO IT! So I called and made my apology (SORRY AGAIN STICK!). He was very understanding but I still feel bad.

I've sold many bikes that I have built/modded before, but for some reason, I JUST COULDN'T DO IT! So..................... you guys and gals will have to put up with me for a little longer...................................now, where are we going this fall?????

I am sure glad You kept blackie I hope you were thinking about those triple digits on 28 when you backed out. Now take down the for sale sign for good and if you every put it back up and I hope you don't please give me first pass. I will give her a good home ;)

I know how Stick felt!

I had a "done" deal to buy a 2007 R3 Tourer from a retired police officer...I just got back from my bank with the cash, and he calls me to tell me he changed his mind. Sure, I was disappointed. But in the end, if he decided not to sell, all I could do was respect his decision. I found another R3 closer to home. Two years and a few thousand miles newer, to boot. Cost me a little more, but I'm happy, and so is (I presume) the retired Popo.

Glad to hear you still have Blackie...and for those of you who were worried about the world ending "tomorrow"...it's tomorrow over here already...nothing is going on out of the ordinary...nothing to see here...now move along:D.

Haha, you're right.... I don't remember hearing a time zone in the prediction of 6pm.
The wife tells me they are already making excuses and saying it will now be 10 months from today.
