I did something yesterday I try never to do, I backed out of a deal!

I had just returned from Maggie Valley and had ridden "BLACKIE" to the fire house and cleaned her all up from the trip home the evening before.

I had "BLACKIE" sold, the deal was made, price agreed upon, and the purchaser called to tell me he was going to have the bike shipped from my location to his and needed my address.

The thought of someone that had no idea how much time and effort I had put into "BLACKIE" loading her up to send to a new owner made me step back and take a long look and I JUST COULDN'T DO IT!

I have no doubt that the new owner would have loved her as much as me since he was also the one that had purchased "Blackie II". Unfortunately a cage turned left in front of him and "BLACKIE II" is no more.

Still I JUST COULDN'T DO IT! So I called and made my apology (SORRY AGAIN STICK!). He was very understanding but I still feel bad.

I've sold many bikes that I have built/modded before, but for some reason, I JUST COULDN'T DO IT! So..................... you guys and gals will have to put up with me for a little longer...................................now, where are we going this fall?????

Glad you could just say "NO"...

You might send me their info just in case I have to sell Phoebe. If they were looking for a black Standard with all the work already done for performance and comfort, mine might be an option for them should I have to sell.

I looked at your bike at MV with amazement, I know I didn't see everything there was to see on it. I'd put it right up there with the likes of the famous "Spike"

You must have listened to me at MV, wise choice my friend now stop riding up the rear end of the person in front of you.
Anyone who has not seen this bike in person is missing the best looking Rocket any where and I am sure every one who has seen it will back me up.

I've got no problem seconding that opinion.
More detail than any I've seen.
I'm glad you didn't sell Blackie.
Build the dude a custom one off, just for him.
Price might even go up some as he already knows the quality of the build.....
Don't blame you for not selling Blackie.

Why don't you tell me where you want to go in the fall?
Kiamichi mountains, up through Talimina drive in the Fall,
is real pretty with the colors an all.
West is good too.
Wanna go to Denver?
i'm game.

I know how torn you must feel, Lonnie. Having created something as impressive as Blackie, it's a ****ed if you sell and ****ed if you don't situation.

I'm sure that you were looking forward to your next project and I'm sure that it would (and may still) be another masterpiece. But Blackie will always be a black-gold standard.

+1 verry impressive bike.

Best news Ive heard today!!!! Just because the end is tomorrow doesnt mean you have to sell all your goodies! LOL
