I get every bit I can out of my tires!

I know, I just meant my only experience is with a Touring, I don't know if the way deer tires on the rest of the models last longer

Ugh! I've escorted a couple of riders showing cords over the years. One time to 'Willow Springs' raceway, to beg for some takeoffs. One dude was on a 1198, so it's not as if he was a newb, or broke! Meh, my days of using TP on both sides to save a penny are done.

I only did that on 4 wheels when I lived payday to payday and would stop for 30 cent in gas so i could get to work to get my check (the '80's). Now that I have a family, including 5 grandchildren, and a wife who rides... if I can't afford the tires and maintenance then I can't afford to ride... Of course if it just happened unexpectedly after a long ride... it's the risks we take... :)

I highschool we used to buy tires at the junkyard, mostly because we destroyed them doing burnouts constantly, lol... darn kids!

Went on my laptop and found the pic, steel started to show leaving Bennington Bash in Vermont , Max BMW said no BMWs used that size, so they didn't have one, when I got within 100 miles of home I felt better, as far as someone coming to get me if it blew. Almost 300 miles on steel, I was amazed.
