I have a 2007 rocket.Looking a the rear caliper I am not sure how to remove it.The picture in the work shop manual shows bolts holding the caliper onto the carrier but on my rocket there are pins of some sort..Can anyone help please..Ant

What are you trying to do Ant?
to replace the pads simply pull the little clips, slide out the pins and remove the pads. Five minute job. To remove the caliper bike must be jacked up as the rear axle has to be removed. Then one torque reaction bolt and the caliper can be lifted away though still attached to the brake line.

if you want to remove the rear caliper, not just the pads, the axle has to come out and there is a pivot bolt at the front of the caliper that will need to be removed.

Oops, beat me to it!

Hi,Thanks for your reply.I have changed the pad and as you said there is no need to remove the caliper. Before I changed the pads I had a quick look at the work shop manual but I notice that the manual showed bolt holding on the caliper on and not a pin with a rubber boot at the rear and what I think is a allen bolt at the front..It just seemed stange that my 2007 rocket did not have the same bolt fittings as shown in the manual..Thanks again Ant
