how to remove gear shift pedal?

Thank you - it is the quick shifter. So how do I remove the 8Nm linkage below the 23Nm one? Or do I have to remove the bolt that Journeyman had put a red arrow against?

The red arrow bolt will take it off of the splined shaft, that is one way to get it off You can also undue the 6nm nuts which are on the long shaft in the middle, the shaft has the threads go opposite directions, it acts like a turn buckle.

Moving a spline makes large adjustments, moving the turnbuckle makes small adjustments.

Thanks. Here's what worked out - I removed the 23Nm bolt, and then, carefully removed the thin spring like clip under that (next to the ball joint). Then, the shaft just slid out from the hollow ball joint
