I feel a little embarrassed asking this question but I have to know if there are supposed to be holes in the front wheel. I've owned this bike since new, and have washed it dozens of times, but have never noticed these holes in the front rim. It doesn't make any sense having them since it allows water ingress which is not a good thing. Please review the picture in the attachment and let me know if your bike has the same holes. Thanks!
If you look close, there will be three of these evenly spaced inside the wheel. These cavities hold the firecrackers you light once the roadrunner goes by. ... Just joking, yeah, they look like they should be there. If the material is not required structurally, it saves weight. Perhaps they are associated the injection process at birth.
Thanks, I really appreciate you checking! I can't believe that I've never noticed them before. The other day I was parking the bike and just happened to look at the wheel and thought "WTF"?
