Riding to work this am and i hit a deer broadside doing 65mph on my rocket. Bike is probably going to be totaled but i thank God that i only have a broken finger and abrasions, lot of skin off my right knee. I was fully geared full face helmet, armored pants, jacket, gloves and cowboy boots. Doing 65 and a car was coming we both turned or brights off but then the truck was going slow and i was thinking about that when i found out why, a mulie doe came out and i hit her dead center. It happened so fast i did not know if i even used my brakes but the police said there was a good skidmark in the road. Never wrecked going that fast before and when i hit the road it felt like a mule kicked me in the side, i way praying my helmet held up because the horrible grating sound did not sound good. Been wanting titanium plated (knuckle area) gloves but had not got them yet, wish i had my hands are bruised and skinned. I had on leather gauntlet gloves. Anyway I have nothing to complain about I am home with minor injuries.

Thank God your alive ..65 and hitting a deer ,not too many live to tell the tale. Your next calamity will probably be dealing with the insurance company. Hope they treat you fairly and get you back in the saddle...

You are a very lucky man!

Heres to a speedy recovery!
