He's got a rocket 3 roadster i believe, and they are different in the fusebox area! DONOT REMOVE THE FUSE 4 THE HEADLIGHTS!

this fuse is needed to reload a map into a roadster!

earlier models have a separate fuse for the headlights, the roadster uses that fuse for something in the computer, and WONT load a new map without it. (you can get a map out without the fuse tho)

(got a roadster myself and had to ring a triumph dealer/mech to tell me this)

i bought the battery charger (optimate) and connected it to the bike during install of the map with all fuses intact and it went in at first try.

Thanks I will commit that to memory about the Roadster.
I do not pull my fuse anymore as with 920cca battery system I do not loose to much juice and its just a 10 second down load.
I think some people run a battery charger while Tune Boy is hooked to the bike but I have never trusted that.

yeah, i can still remember my heart jumping into my throat and my stomach trying to make saltos, when i saw that could not load map thing on my screen :eek: :eek: :eek: .
fortunatly, all was well after i called the triumph tech. pfieuw. glad i could help. :)
