From what I have read around here in the past year and a half, the 08 is a good model year. Look into the ignition bypass.
Many have upgraded rear shocks, added performance by replacing mufflers, removing air filters and putting in a good tune or getting a dyno.
Take your time taming the beast and enjoy the ride!
