Exactly why I bought my new aluminum bike trailer last November.
While not as severe as you, we do have too many wet rainy days up here in WA.
The trailer has extended my ride season exponentially!
Trailer to some better weather, unload & "Just Ride, Baby, Ride!

Or wind swept raining all the time Washington hmmm hard choice, I would find it real hard to live in a place where I cannot ride 365 days a year it does not bother some but it would me.
