My daughter sent me a set of COBRA Mod 2000-4 headlight visors for my R3 for Christmas. She bought them at a Triumph dealer and they are supposed to fit. I opened one and tried to fit it to the headlight rim but with three tabs on the visor plus a snap wring there is no way that the ring will go back over the headlight housing. It is too bad since they are made in USA and of very nice quality. Has anyone else installed these? I am wondering if I am doing something wrong.

I called the manufacturer in Yorba Linda but were closed today.

Made in the USA, good quality! ..........."THEY DONT FIT" what sort of quality is that??

Women should never buy bike parts, coz them is always "BLING" never performance   :D

Excellent chrome finish, unlike some of the Triumph stuff. I think the dealership got it wrong. There is no way these will fit.

On top of that, as I tried to see if the tabs would fit under the light bucket, I dropped the **** visor on my fender and got my first chip in the paint.

It's been a bad day...

HUmmm I know how they are being held on other bikes, 3 tabs and a spring. Seen them, installed some on my previous bike.
IMO There is no way you can make that fit on a Rocket without breaking the lens glass.
I hope i'm wrong

No tabs or clips with mine - fitted straight under the chrome ring no problem. :?

Not too sure if I like them now

Steve, Where did you get yours? One of our members got his at a Harley dealership. Was that you?

I sent the dealership a note and received an early AM call confirming that they were universal. They asked me to send them back. It is a good dealership.

I think the visors look good but it is just one of those personal preferences.

Step, they don't really serve a functional purpose. They are just one of those "old school" biker things.

This is all you need........ great price too. I have always liked the look w/ headlight visors.... kinda makes it look a little more aggressive IMHO.

Steve, most excellent web site. Has some of the things I need for my classic/vintage British bikes. Thanks.
