I was at my local ABATE chapter meeting last night and they were going over the proposed bills and such. They brought up one bill that is in the Arizona legislature about having to take your bike to only authorized dealers to get them worked on. If you own a Truimph; you can only take it to a Triumph dealer. A Harley to a Harley dealer and so on. You would nolonger be able to take your bike to a bike shop or do the work yourself. Something along that line.
He said he was going to post it on our ABATE site but haven't seen it yet. I did a search on it but couldn't find anything. Have any of the Az. Captians heard of this bill or anone else?

Such a bill would clearly be illegal and it would not make it out of committee to even be considered. If nothing else the automotive aftermarket would fiercely attack this as setting a precedent against using their parts. Besides, where would you take your BSA?

I'm not at all surprised.
"Such a bill would clearly be illegal and it would not make it out of committee to even be considered."
You are suggesting the hundreds upon hundreds of laws passed annually are thoughtfully weighed against the Constitution.
