I use a Givia Maxia (52ltr) fitted to the rack by way of a Givi universal mounting plate - The box has an Admorelighting kit which gives brake/tail & indicator lights.
I only fit it for distance rides otherwise i'd have posted pics...
Hi Hayabusa, did you fit it onto the original rack and if so can you open the panniers without them catching?
HI i have much the same and only fit it for distance work but just happen to have it on at the right time .....
I have removed the sissy bar and put the backrest on to the topbox i am haveing some inserts made to go where the bar fits ..you will see when i post the photos some ..work gets in the way of biking and yes you can open them with out any problems.....

I had the same problems you are having , and fitted a Honda top box while I worked out what would do the job.
i eventually bought a coo-case, which has the advantage of remote locking, fitted with lights, (either brake or tail) and for the princely sum of £149.00, delivered, is a cracking deal. Very good quality and looks good too. pics to follow
OMG it worked have been trying to do this for weeks and now it works!
I hope the photos give some ideas ,fitting the box was a problem at first, i had it on my Sprint and when i got the R3T wanted to fit on her because of the sissy bar you could not open it i removed the bar and fitted a mounting plate to the rack but with on pad here indoors would not ride like it,you can buy a pad for the givi but they cost so i removed it from the sissy bar and fitted it to the box it takes a little time to get it in the right place i had to move the mounting plate about a bit once done the rack stays on the bike and is no problem. When it took the sissy bar out i had to replace the bolts they are just a nut and bolt now i am having some spacers made to go in the tube they will be tread ed so they fit ,going to have eyelets put on the top so i can attach bungees if needed .
Hope this helps any questions just ask .
PS the givi is a V46 which you can fit two helmets in
