Ride
2011 Rocket
Baggage1, RocketDaryl and myself had a very hard day today, we had to ride all the Triumph models(exc roadster) all day from 0900 to 1630.
The Triumph Demo truck was at D&D Cycles(Pensacola FL) and we were the lead and trail riders all day, do you know how hard it is to choose which bike to ride hmmm the Thunderbird looks good but the Thunderbird 1700cc looks better or maybe the street triple or the 1050 or the Thruxton or even the bonnie or the America or Scrambler not to forget the Rocket, anyhoo I have to get some rest for we are all doing it again tomorrow, the pain oh the pain.:D

Sniff, man, if I would have been home I would have helped out on the demo rides as well so that you wouldn''t have gotten so worn out...when I used to work there that is what I helped out on...the demo rides.

I do the same thing for our dealer and have been for many seasons. In addition, on RAT functions I get a demo to use and then swap it with whoever wants to ride it. These rides are 100+ miles so I get to sample a nice cross section of the motorcycle universe.
The Speed 3 is soooooo over the top and fun.......

Ah the agony of putting in a full day for this semi retire was taxing but I managed with the help of donuts and sodas. My big left toe is sore and may need attention by medical staff before this day is over. That dern Tiger is to blame, what a gas to ride that one:D but as usual Dave will take the best before I get to it, and since he has to pay it's ok.;)

It was a hard job, but someone (us) had to do it.

"How was the Street Triple"

I love the Street Triple. I actually preferred it over the Speed Triple. The Bonnie was fun too, as was the America. The Thruxton was a blast too, but I have to give the nod to the Street Triple. Loved that bike. Of course, I already have a T-Bird and a Tiger so I tried to avoid those. I did have to take a T-Bird on a few of the rides as the truck had 6 of those. I did ride the one with big bore kit just to see if I could tell any real difference between it and mine. There's a noticeable difference, but it was a huge difference.

All good things must come to an end:( had a great time with the demo rides, the triples(675,1050) are fun bikes not my ideal position but fun bikes, the 1700 Thunderbird was nice plenty of torque and a nice riding position, the America is what I would call a starter bike for a novice rider you have to really work the gearbox to make it move, the scrambler was fun but my favourite by far is the Thruxton nice light bike with plenty of get up and go it does not give you the **** gining smile that the Rocket gives you but for handling it leaves the Roc standing and it is a better looking bike than the Rocket- then again every bike on the road is better looking than the Rocket.:D
