That was quite an insightful vid. Not sure if the guy is a member here - but I sort of wish he was and could give us more info.

After a month of absolutely atrocious weather for almost a month - I have been able to get out on the R3 - I'd forgotten how big and lazy it is. This is not "per se" a bad thing as it means less fines. But made me realize why I'd stopped ridding the back lanes.

This is all on him. He doesn't like the looks but he bought it anyway? He couldn't see that the front doesn't match the rear in person? Was he drunk when he bought it? Impulse buying?? It's on him. If he would have rode it and then decided he didn't like it then that's understandable but to see it, buy it and then realize your Terminator fantasy isn't transpiring well that is just weird. Curious though, did it have new motorcycle smell and if so did he ruin it.

I think the bang for buck is the tipping point. Just so many alternatives when you get into the electronics assisted market place. I think as more after market bits arrive then the interest will increase, with good video and sound bites of what is achievable, especially amongst classic owners. Like anything else, gotta see the potential.
i was in same situation with a VMAX1700, I ended up cancelling and going for the Rocket based on potential for customisation and modification. I think personalisation is a big part of muscle/cruiser ownership. For the guy in the video, it looked like a big version of the street triple :) but way more expensive

When I saw his three other choices it was very clear he is not cut out to be a Rocket Captain. I wouldn’t have any of those atrocious bikes. I do think the black one in his video was kind of plain looking and the least attractive of the bunch.
