Good mount for Garmin GPS

As I said before...trimming a little bit off the bottom of the ball mount (the aluminum part) with a dremel cut off wheel lowers the ball toward the bars and gives you a little bit more room to play with the adjustment angle of the arm...just something to think about. For me the extra play allowed me to adjust the screen to an angle where the sun didn't completely wash out the display while riding, but that could just be my height in the saddle. Your results may vary...

Got the parts in today... The stock bolt that comes with the ball is 8mm - I didn't unscrew the gauge mount on my roadster but the screw doesn't look to be that large. Is it or did you just snug a smaller bolt and a washer in place?

If you have any additional photos it would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Sorry Padre, just saw this thread. I had to replace the bolt best I remember. Just went down to the local hardware store and got the correct thread in the length I needed, and yes I put a washer in place under the bolt.
