For mine I ended up replacing the rear suspension with Hagon Nitros HD (they have a regular version for the R3, but with the extra weight of the touring, a stiffer spring is needed) which lowered the beast an inch so I am able to flat foot it. It makes all the difference in the world for my enjoyment of this motorcycle. I was never much of a peg scraper so losing the bit of ground clearance wasn't an issue for me.

I like mine, hope you like yours as much as I like mine. Just went dark side. Plenty of power to kill the factory tire. Wife likes it to. Its heavy, but will pull away from most other bikes out there. With a good tune it wakes up and halls a**.:D:D:D:D

I thought about it. Thought about it hard until I saw a video with the camera mounted where it filmed the tire and watching a dark tire equipped bike through the twisties was scary stuff. No dark side for me unless I ever trike or mount a sidecar to the beast...
