Gear shift lever

I'd like to get rid of the heel part of the gear shift lever on the classic. Anyone do this? Can you just replace this with the shift lever from the standard? This seems a lot shorter than the front end of the heel-toe shifter. Thanks.

Take a hack saw to it that's what I did all is good

You might check and see if the shifter from the R3T would fit. Its a two piece, the heel portion can be removed. That way you'll still have your stock shifter in one piece.
