Jebus Ken, I never thought that the C109Rt will give you that much grief. I did have a M109R, and never had a problem. 2009 Model, did about 20K with her. Mods , cobra 2 in 1, ATRE for the same issue as yours, and a FIauto tune cobra, but then she was a beauty. Must admit that The rocket got me! I hope that you enjoy yours! Stay upright

That's funny because I had only just got on the Boulie site when you ran foul of the Mods and other self appointed protectors of the M109 model dominated Forum,as soon as I mentioned the Rocket my posts were mostly ignored ,some of the guys are OK but there is a clicky bunch that use the Forum as a private chat site, and have copped a fair bit of stick from them,
the one thing that intrigued me was if the M109 is so wonderful why do the spend so much time and money completely changing almost everything on the bike,
they all criticise Harleys but try to make them sound and look like one ,you will never get a 50/90 or 109 sound like a Harley it's a completely different design and firing sequence

Hiya Mate,
I'm really sorry to hear that they've been nasty to you. Thanks god that I wasn't there much, just to read some of the threads. My name was "interceptor" lol love the MAD MAX movies. I do remember reading some of your post about buying the Rocket. Well obviously for different reasons we both ended up on the "Bright side" and the light guided us to buy the Rockets! LOL
I believe that anyone, regardless of the bike that they buy, they try to make it nicer, hence the mods. You will find that eventually you will do something to the Rocket to suit your style. It doesn't really matter what it is, always some sort of mod will come, pipes, wider tyres, screen , suspension, etc. The most important thing is to enjoy what do you do, cause, it is for you and no someone else.
Finally, I totally agree that some people try to "copy" make it look like Harley's, what would you? they break down same or more like any other bikes LOL.
Enjoy the ride here and on the roads, it is all about riding and freedom, stay upright! cheers . Alex

I'm not one to knock anyone for being one eyed about their own bike. Quite the opposite really; good on them I say. But I did check in on the Boulie forum to have a sticky beak and have to say I got a bit of chuckle from one thread. Someone was worried that a blue bike might attract more unwanted attention than a black one - you know, from people sitting on it or vandalising it. Bit different to "which is faster"; more a "which is prettier or more interesting".

It's not really like this place as it caters for 50s, 90s and 109s but there's definitely a similar interplay between the M109 and C109 owners as there is between the Std/Classic/Roadster and Touring owners here. I reckon if we had America/Speedmaster, T'bird and Rockets on one site you'd get exactly the same attitudes coming through, even down to how we "farewell" someone who reckons they've found something better. Mostly would be good humoured, but all depends on the attitude.
