Does anyone have a problem getting their gas cap off the tank of their rocket? Mine seems to fit so tight and since it is so flat to the tank it is hard to get a grip on it to remove it. I even bought a different cap that Triumph makes thinking it would be easier to grip but it didn't help. I also tried a little oil or silicon lube, but it still didn't help. Just curious. I know I'm not that weak...it's just hard to grip!
cap on my 01 legend like that once had to use channel locks to remove it sprayed guts with wd40 set out in sun to drain was always careful not to "overtighten"the cap after that
Same issue on my R3T; I have to put a quasi-death grip on it. Part of my issue is I try and keep my fingers off the paint...or you get that swirl around the cap.
Well....with that said....if is like a car because if you don't tighten the cap till it clicks with the correct pressure seal on the fuel tank opening, it will throw a code. With a car, a code will cause the check engine light to come on. I would like to avoid that. Have you ever had that happen? Will the ECU on the rocket cause it to throw a code as well?
