Ever have a beer in the garge on a night you can't sleep and say WTF I think I an fit this or do something?

well I mocked it up, took it for a spin, really stable and very aerodynamic( was mentally prepared for it to shake or bufet or feel like a big heavy rudder..

got the primer drying on it now so I can paint it to match

actually those are FZR headlights, the rockets were a shade too big...

so I removed the stockers, then attached the subframe and stock FZR lights....

I'll take photos when I reassemble it, that was the mock up to see if it was a good enough idea to paint..

used two of my 4 fixing kit mounting brackets and a piece of aluminim subframe..

solid as a rock...

the FZR bottom subframe bolted on it, as an added bonus, I coudl switch back to stock headlight buckets in a few minutes if If I had to

I did have to cut some pieces off the FZR metal frame for the cowl, the parts that woudl normally mount to the neck..

I thought about rigging up a complicated mount, then said F-that, keep it simple stupid, mount it like a stock windshield

$40.00 on craigslist... cowl, subframe, and two workign lights with bulbs even!!!

pretty sure its for a FZR600

nope, it actually puts the blast right at my helmet, But I could open my full face shield and ride comfortably....

it definitly spreads the wind more so I don't get hit on my shoudlers anymore like I did with teh fly screen..

if I switched to a double bubble or a touring screen that fits it woudl put the blast over the top..

I really wasn't expecting it to work.. bought it on a whim, thought it might fit.. turns out it not only fit with a little work, it works.. might be nice at the drag strip, have a little bit of bubble to duck below....

I'm embarrased how messy my garage is right now....

that's an 89-91 and 93 on FZR600 upper fairing. (they changed to the boomerang headlight for two years)

I had an 89 FZR600

cool, maybe I can get a headlight cover and a double bubble for it then...

having some problems with the paint...not an exact match ( rattle can)

we will see how it looks when I'm all done..

not going to have it proffessionally done until I get the whole bike done.
