Sorry, my bad about the alternator. I'd already planned on lifting the tank to look for the obvious. Just hope it's not something that will take too much digging. I'm not as patient as I was when I was a younger man.

I'll be captain obvious here, did you check to see if some plastic bag hasn't found its way into the header area? This happened to me and took me awhile to discover what it was since the bag instanly melted and was out of sight between the headers and the engine.

You guys evidently don't know what a well seasoned and marinated squirrel smells like; after the application of heat.

Unbolt and lift/prop your tank up; and look at the cluster**** of vacuum hoses/wiring/and other crap that Triumph has installed on top of the valve cover. Check and see if you have any obvious damage from heat or a electronic short circuit amongst the components.

Take your time poking around. Use an inspection mirror as well for the tight spots.

I sure do miss those big and tasty red fox squirrels from back home in Michigan. Some of those buggers were as big as a good sized cat. I remember them being tastier than the rabbits we killed when I was growing up.

Nice to see a fellow Captain whom appreciates good vittles.

Some of our good Captains on this here board seem to stick to very bland and uninteresting diets. An Andrew Zimmerman they are not! :)
