Front brake banjo bolt questions

What am I missing here? Why are these brake cable clamps needed? I'm not really sure why the stupid plastic stock brake line holders are even needed at all!.
Are we afraid the brake line will whip back and forth and damage the fender?

I'm kinda with you on this one. The brake clamps seem like overkill. But, what the hell, Flip's clamps look a hell of a lot better than those plastic ones.....

Probably. I think the spec on the R3 calls for DOT 5 fluid. I could be wrong though, check the manual.

I'm thinking; that I did refill with DOT5 back then; rather than with DOT4, it was the fully synthetic brake fluid.

For one thing, clamping the lines here eliminates any torque stress on the banjo bolt & the cable there..Possibly not really an issue, but...
They DO, however, look cool as the dogs B******s :lol:
I got a pair, & the upper cable aluminium clamps too. All my mates got them then!!
