Not sure where to post this, so I am just putting this here.

My name is Ric and I have been riding a Rocket III Classic Tourer since March 2007. best bike I have ever owned/ridden. My bike is now gone, totalled.

I was on the way home from work on Tuesday, 11/15 when a woman in a cage turned left right in front of me. Had no time to stop, but I remember trying. Woke up a few minutes later on pavement in the middle of the road with a motorcycle officer holding my helmet to keep me from moving my head while waiting for ambulance and paramedics.

Spent a week in hospital - seven broken ribs, broken left shoulder, ruptured/removed spleen. Lucky thing is NO head injury (thank god for a quality Shoei helmet) or road rash (good leather jacket, riding pants, boots).

Have not been super active posting on this site but have learned a LOT over the last four years. Just before crash I had purchased the Eastern Beaver relay wiring to bypass and protect the ignition switch.

Since the bike is now gone, I figure someone could use it so here's the deal. First person who posts that they want it can have it. I will contact you and you can pm me your address. I will ship it to you free of charge, just might take me a week or two to get it done since not really moving much yet and can't drive yet. This is my small way of paying back for all the help this site has given me over the years.

Hey Ric
Sorry bout ya tumble but atleast you are verticle,
Disregard my post mate although i could use it someone more active on the forum must need it
Cheers

I don't need it but wanted to say speedy recovery mate. think before you start giving away, are you sure you don't want another Rocket cos you might need it if you buy an older one.

Anyway get Well Soon:)

Namaste,
A very kind offer indeed!! I wish you a speedy recovery and return to motorcycling.

I'll put my hand up for it, not for me, but for a new friend I met 2 weeks ago who recently bought a Rocket and may not know about the problem that this kit will fix.
I have given him the details of this forum and he plans to join up when work pressures allow!!

Cheers,
The Kiwi.

Ouch, sorry to hear about your wreck Ric, but glad it was not as bad as it could have been. Thank God for good riding gear! Very sobering, the leftturner is difficult to deal with and so unexpected, the only thing I fear more in riding is deer.

Good to hear you survived mate, get well soon.. maybe Rocket Fever will get the better of you when your healed :D
Thanks for the kind offfer but mine arrived today :)
