The rocket tourer holds 22 litres , think i would be having a word with my petrol station about fiddling the pumps . Oh and mine splashes has well , i just learnt to go slow

US gallon = 3.79 litres (approx).
5.5 US gallons = 20.8 litres (5.6 = 21.2)
5.9 USG = 22.333 litres.

Glad i just found out i leave for a month in the states in 3 days , you just saved me making a fool of myself , i would of complained about being short changed at the bowser

Thanks guys. I thought maybe I needed to unstop a kinked hose or something. Do you think a small hole on the left side on the tube would allow air in better and minimize splash?

If its not broke don't fix it , My harley used to splashback more than the rocket , just put it in a bit slower , especielly when its nearly full

Yeah, those vapor.catching nozzles are a hassle. Ran into a few on my trip. I just learned quickly how to pull it up. What I dislike most are the handles that do not allow you to slow the stream down.

I had the same problem you are discribing and solved it with a McCuff....It is a piece of hard rubber that slides over the gas pump nozzle and it allows you to fill your tank right up to the bottom of the plastic insert that is in the R3T, no matter how fast the pump is pumping the gas without anything spilling on the tank...Comes with a velcro pouch you can attach to your crash bar etc., so it's ready to go...Check it out..It works great...........Larry
